Assura Completes £3m Bebington Medical Centre

16.11.2012

The UK’s leading healthcare property developer and investor, Assura Group, has successfully completed its latest scheme, a £3m medical centre on Brackenwood Road in Bebington.

The 14,350 sq ft centre will see the relocation of two local GP practices, the Kings Lane Medical Centre and the Church Road Medical Centre. The new building will provide modern, fit for purpose medical facilities, including a minor surgery suite and rooms for GP, nurse and counselling consultations. The site also includes an integrated pharmacy, to be run by Averroes Pharmacy.

Amanda Roddy, development manager at Assura Group, commented: “The Bebington Medical Centre will consolidate a wide range of the community’s healthcare needs into one convenient building, improving the patients’ experience and increasing the quality of care in the area.”

Phil Lilley, director at LSP Developments, said: “We’ve really enjoyed working with Assura Group and the GPs to provide top of the range healthcare premises to the locals of Bebington and we hope that the Kings Lane and Church Road practices serve the community well in their new home.”

Dr Mugerwa, GP at the medical centre, continued: “We’re really looking forward to opening the new medical centre to our patients, which we expect will help us to increase our quality of care even further and boost our medical service offering.”

Architect Practice West Hart Partnership designed the scheme, with W. H. Snow appointed as contractors.
