Are you considering a “Super-hub” merger?

17.03.2017

The role of fit-for-purpose primary care buildings has been brought into sharp focus this week, in comments by Health Minister David Mowat.

The MP for Warrington South told MPs how “We are finding that things are working better with GP practices being put into hubs of 35,000 to 40,000 people.

“They are able to employ pharmacists and physios and do more things at scale than they could as a single GP practice or as a practice of two or three GPs, which has historically been the norm,”

Our CEO, Jonathan Murphy, says: “Our work in areas where two or three GP practices have moved together into a modern, purpose-built hub building shows how better premises can help to bring a much wider range of services closer to home for patients and GPs to share their resources.

“The right primary care buildings, in the right places for patients aren’t just a nice-to-have; they’re critical for the changes family doctors are trying to make to give patients easier access to appointments and to bring services, tests and treatments closer to home – and to keep them there for the future.”
