General practice leads the way in satisfaction survey

30.03.2017

Good news for GPs today as a new survey found public satisfaction with general practice is greater than for any other NHS service.

The national British Social Attitudes Survey, which polls thousands of people for their views on the NHS, has published its latest results for the health service and they put a clear spotlight on primary care. Almost three quarters of people (72%) said they were satisfied with GP services – a higher satisfaction rate than for any other NHS service.

How fit-for-purpose primary care premises support general practice

The right buildings for primary care aren’t just a nice-to-have; they’re critical to the new models of care and NHS transformation laid out in the Five Year Forward View, the GP Forward View and in Sustainability and Transformation Plans across the country.

By designing GP surgery premises for the job they’ll be doing in future, we can help the NHS deliver on its plans to ease pressure on hospitals – by giving family doctors the infrastructure they need to offer extended appointment hours, digital consultations and more services, tests and treatment in the community.

Assura invest, develop and manage bespoke primary and community care premises that meet the exacting and demanding needs of the NHS and the patients. We work with GPs and stakeholders to enable the provision of additional community based clinical services to patients from modern compliant future proofed premises. We focus on what matters to patients, GP’s and health professionals and plan for what will be needed in the future. We believe patients and health professionals deserve modern primary care premises from which they can receive and provide high quality care.
