A year of innovation
2020 has been a year of adjustment for everyone, from learning to work from home to social distancing and becoming makeshift teachers. It was no different for our newest medical centres which opened their doors in 2020: a year of innovation.
Netherfield Medical Centre – March 2020
Completed just as the first lockdown began, Netherfield Medical Centre is one of the most technologically innovative buildings that we’ve built. We’ve worked with the GPs to create an environment that not only looks great but enables them to work smarter not harder. The health pod gives patients control over their health and provides figures for them to monitor but also automatically distributes them to their GPs.
Cinderford Medical Centre – June 2020
This new hub broke new ground not just for its construction but also for its design, which looks at the needs of every patient. From the colours to the structure, signage to flooring, we worked with the University of Worcestershire’s Centre for Dementia Studies to study and create a medical centre that would provide a friendly, relaxing environment for patients and their carers as well as healthy space for the wider community in the allotment outside. We’ve had lots of great feedback and look forward to more.
Stourside Hospital – October 2020
Stourside Hospital provides a hub for Ramsay’s existing West Midlands Hospital in Halesowen. The new facility provides additional capacity within the local healthcare system, supporting the strong partnership between West Midlands Hospital and The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust to deliver joined-up healthcare services, and offering the primary care network in Stourbridge greater access to timely clinical care for their patients.
